Good luck to everyone at #ProvidersUnite march today, including our own senior manager Monique Bentley. Social care matters - it brings joy, security and comfort to the most vulnerable, but Government actions are putting our sector at risk. Social care is a right not a privilege!

It's relentless pressure. Thanks @ccpscotland.bsky.social for battling on behalf of your members.
💬“At a time when organisations and employees are already under immense pressure, these increases would exacerbate existing challenges, jeopardising recruitment, retention, and service quality.”

So @hmtreasury.bsky.social completely misunderstands how contemporary not for profit social care providers funded and what they do. Public service orgs mostly commissioned with public ££s. Hence terrible consequence of eNIC policy not factored in. Totally counterproductive. @ccpscotland.bsky.social

How often do social care providers and NHS leaders have to say 'to fix the NHS you have to fix Social Care'? It's not an easy question to answer but at least you could acknowledge the question!
Today in Edinburgh, I shared my vision for Scotland’s future.

✔️ Eradicate child poverty
✔️ Grow our economy
✔️ Deliver net zero
✔️ Improve our public services

This is about delivering hope, ambition and progress for everyone in Scotland.
