I write baseball words for a living. Constantly tired and ready to retire. Here to make myself laugh.

This worked for me. Tell your friends.
Ohioans who, correctly, don't want to submit identification to bluesky, this may be useful:

Just reading a list of "Thanksgiving foods that are toxic to dogs" and this is one of the items listed:

Mushrooms that are also toxic to humans

Ummmm why would anyone have those at Thanksgiving dinner? Or are you publishing this for the readers who plan to use them against those they don't like?

Folks, it's bread day. Two loaves in the oven right now.
a man in a car with the words this is so exciting
Alt: Two men are sitting in the front seat of a car. The man behind the steering wheel is looking out of the window and clapping while saying "this is so exciting"

Looking to add some cookbooks to my collection.

I definitely want a good Mexican cookbook, so please recommend one or three.

I am not a dessert person, so I don't need/want any cookbooks that focus on that.

Tell me what I need.

What is my favorite Star Wars movie? Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle, also known as the one where we get to meet a young Sulu and Carl before they defeated Invader Zim

Over at Redleg Nation I wrote about some prospects who went from the Dominican Summer League to the Australian Winter League and are playing very well so far.

This is true. In 2011 I started a "scouting database" at the site for $4.00 per month. A few years later that transitioned into the current form. I've never raised the price. In nearly 15 years.
And unlike wasting your money on Disney+, Doug doesn't raise his price twice a year.

Waking up at 8am is always a mistake. Logging on this specific morning at 8am was a bigger one. My goodness.

Gonna go watch some cooking videos on the youtubes to cleanse my soul.

There are still games going on, but as things currently stand only one team in the Dominican Winter League has a winning record. When the day began only one team was even above .500. Aguilas is now 18-3. The other five teams have between 8 and 11 wins and are .500 or worse.

I just went through my freezer to get stock of what I have in there, what I need to be sure to use soon, etc. But I also organized all of my tomato juice/soup stock and my tomato sauce. I have 40 lbs of it all in there.

Gonna need to start eating a lot more of it.

Really thinking about all of that food I'm gonna be eating on Thursday.

Today's adventure in Zillow is having a bridge on your driveway that you can't drive over and it's also 200 feet from the house.

Is there an app in existence that actually prioritizes the stuff you explicitly told it you want?

Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video - everywhere makes you search for stuff you have added to your list or subscribed to in favor of what they either think you want to see or are paid to push you.

On a different note, I have gotten bombarded with ads on instagram from two companies. I like both companies. They both want to sell me their 4-figure products that I would like but won't be buying.

I have seen A LOT of people talking about how the Reds hid the quad injury about Elly De La Cruz and I just have to say that A LOT of people were not paying attention. It was discussed that he was dealing with a quad injury for months, during the season. They weren't overly specific with that.

This shit sucks. Google rolled some previously useful features into this AI garbage that no longer work unless you allow them to use all of your stuff for machine learning.

Still turned it off, but good God can we just please stop forcing this on EVERY SINGLE THING WE HAVE IN OUR LIVES
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

After reading the "clarification" I wrote about how it changed next to nothing and how so many people failed the club and Elly De La Cruz along the way.
Nick Krall attempted to clarify his comments on the torn quad of Elly De La Cruz that he made on Wednesday evening, but he essentially repeated his exact words but added the injury was more nagging than serious.

A lot of people failed in this decision process.

I'm old enough (barely) to remember the Milli Vanilli scandal.

At least real people were actually singing their songs.
