Daily dose of cat. This is Stilton, Gouda’s brother (they are both cheeses, incidentally, because Cheese brought them home as babies. Which was a bit of a surprise since Cheese is male, but cheers to good father figures, whether feline or otherwise)

Gouda is banging around in the bathroom and on the one hand I want her to not be miserable and play some but on the other hand she is supposed to remain sedate so that, you know, her PINNED TOGETHER BONES can heal and all.

Juni (cat up front) is mine now, after 12 weeks of FIP treatment (plus time to get the diagnosis). These other two cats? Not mine. Not that you’d know that by how comfy they are on the love seat 😂

This 3 day weekend I ran a half marathon, did a decent amount of cleaning (if not quite as much as I wanted) finished one book and started two others, put away the remaining Christmas decor I had been lazy about, hit some golf balls, got a swim in and even wrote a little bit … I feel productive

Definitely rolled them too large cause they didn’t flatten enough. They taste ok though. I wanted them a bit crispier but we live and we learn 😂

Sugar cookies that I probably rolled too large because “walnut sized” is only a good frame of reference for people who eat walnuts and I am not one of those people. (The other baking sheet is in the oven)

I got a lot of “free” (I mean, I had to pay for the run) Celsius drinks and saw some fun signs during the half marathon this morning. Two of my fav signs were “you’re running better than the government” and “on a scale of 1-10 you’re a 13.1”

Prior to Gouda’s injury I signed up for some (nonrefundable, nontransferable😮💨) runs. The first is the Rock and Roll Half Marathon on Sunday. I mean, it’ll be fun. I do sort of wish I had my $ back but we can’t predict the future 😆

If I grossed anyone out with my updates about Gouda I’m sorry. I got the response “well, I WAS eating” and initially I was sort of like “doom scrolling while eating is on you” and there are probably worse things on the internet and you can scroll past, but I don’t know. Maybe it was TMI

My niece was explaining her dream in which her stuffy and her stuffy’s robot friend were having an adventure and then she casually threw in “and then the bad guys died before they even went on their walk!”
But it was ok guys cause they turned into flowers. Lol I ❤️ that kid

We’re back from the vet with two antibiotics. The discharge this morning was already clear, so it’s more of a precaution than anything (the surgery site getting infected would likely mean the loss of the leg.) One antibiotic she was given at the time of the surgery, which is why they added a 2nd

Honestly even if the donations I got are all I get I was still really overwhelmed by the generosity.
