Leadership development is now a $366 billion industry that still hasn’t agreed on a definition of what leadership is. I suspect that’s the point.

Here’s the answer, free of charge: steemit.com/leadership/@...

(1/6) In quantum physics, radical pairs are particles whose behaviour is linked. Change one, and the other responds. The same is true in economics: every credit depends on a matching debt, and every surplus on a matching deficit. Nothing moves alone.

In electronics, reliability = mean time between failures (MTBF).

For my post-GDP paper, I think I'll say legitimacy resilience = mean time between institutional failures (corruption, policy breakdowns, judicial breaches).

They deregulated the banks, then the banks regulated you.
Access to credit was framed as freedom, but when every option is a loan, you're selling your future to the money markets.

I assume from the background of the image that their color is off-white.

At the risk of sounding judgemental, that eagle in the logo looks like it's possessed by the Devil.
they had to go with “america party” over the more natural sounding “american party” because the american party already existed and they ran george wallace for president in 1968

The video shows alarmism from British right-wing media.

The EU Commission gave Ireland until July 7 to align with a 2008 framework on incitement to hatred (like Holocaust denial), not pass new ‘hate speech’ laws. Ireland already has hate-crime rules, so this is about harmonisation, not censorship.

Iran has been bombed without congressional approval. This article examines how POTUS became untouchable and what that means for the future of war.

Will there come a point where the constitutional crisis is treated as a crisis?

We were promised freedom, but what we got was access. And access comes with an invoice.

Rent became the price of entry, rights became products.

Housing, medicine, credit, even visibility... someone owns the toll booths that count as 'access'.

The far-right in Ireland try to equate immigration with colonisation. Their mental gymnastics rely on the public forgetting our history of emmigration, our shared sense of justice, and basic common decency.

(1/9) I published a paper on Recognising Non-Market Public Value. It focuses on care, contribution, and what economic institutions have kept invisible so far, offering a path to rebuild fiscal systems around what matters most.

7.5 years ago, I asked 3 carefully worded questions to central banks to test key claims of #MMT. Turns out they hold up. I didn’t ask the Fed, hoping someone else might want to verify for themselves.

I'm still waiting. The questions still matter.

I'm be interested to see what the polling will look like for this question month by month for the rest of the year.
"Do you think it's possible or not that crimes like those committed by the Nazi regime in Germany in the 30s and 40s could happen in the United States?"

It's Possible: 52%
It's Not Possible: 35%

I was just reading about tunnel diodes and their negative differential resistance. In economics, could this concept be used to model sectors that amplify trust or non-market public value without direct fiscal input?

For the underdog - First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

For the orthodoxy - First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you suffer, and I mean SUFFER, a humiliating defeat of epic proportions. Oh, the humanity!

Too often, what counts as value in the economy is the opposite of what sustains us.
Pollution boosts GDP.
Burnout drives productivity.
Unpaid care, ecological work, and civic life go unseen.

We need a new theory of value.

Obi-Wan described Darth Vader as being "more machine now than man, twisted and evil."

It made me think of GDP - "more machine now than value, twisted and evil." It rewards extraction and destruction by treating them as positive contributions to the economy.
