JavaScript / Typescript toolchain is a mess. There are just too many (obsolete) ways to configure something so simple as ESLint and Prettier.

Something similar happened to me too. Suddenly started getting warnings about deprecated actions.

I want things to work even if I don't touch them for years.

Let me decide what to use. How about on prem runners?

Since a couple of days ago, I've been contemplating to do the same.

Happens more often than not. We make a big thing out of something, but it just takes some willpower to solve it.

Been here, done that 😁

👏👏👏

Many dismiss the idea of luck, yet often overlook the (unfair) advantages and favorable situations that have helped them along the way.

What made the book especially powerful was Gladwell's personal story at the end. Really brought everything together.

Highly recommended!

An interesting fact about Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Paul Allen and Eric Schmidt, just to name a few, is they were born in the mid-1950s.

The timing of their births (among many other things) significantly contributed to their success.

Listening to the audiobook Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell really changed how I see success. The book highlights how much cultural legacy and personal circumstances impact our behavior, beliefs, and success.

Hopefully no British will read this as it would certainly have ill effects on their health 🤣🤣🤣

Not sure if this is covered by the ISO 3103, but would certainly be a good addition to the standard 😁

Speaking of practicality, using a kettle with temperature setting is way easier. Can also be left unattended.

Some (many) kinds of tea require specific water temperature.

Same for me 🙂

Now, doing this in a coffee shop brings it to the whole new level.

Unfortunately, more often than not with serious repercussions.

Configuring a screen saver to kick in after a minute or two is a good option for those forgetful people.

There are many workplaces where this is unfortunately too common.

Good way to teach people not to do this is to promise something funny on Slack in their name (while they are away from unlocked computer) or perform a similar prank 😅

I've seen people doing this a couple of times 😁
