The way we look at ourselves changes the way we perceive others.

Many hold shame, shame of having basic and fair human needs. Like a need for a hug, a need for reassurance or love, etc - is taught to be dismissed. Compassion from self and others defeats this, rewires the brain in saying this is okay and safe. It’s okay to be human; flawed with limited time.
