Will I use this place more? Who even knows! A computer modeller and animator who models and animates for fun. And sometimes money. Pretty consistent name-wise, fairly easy to find other places I post things.

Absolutely enjoyed being at Gateway Furmeet 2025 last weekend. Took a bit to shift through all the 3D photos & video, if you see yourself / someone you know in the gallery/video, please let me know!

I'm told this is a anthro-ified Sandworm from Beetlejuice? The badge says 'Screwball' for what it's worth. Either way, loved seeing suits on the more unique end like this. If there was ever a perfect example of “Take this VR avatar base (The 'Awtter' in this case) and translate it into a fursuit”, this would be among them. 'Twig' is what the badge says. And this shot miraculously did work out in stereo (3D) in the end, was worried in the manic queuing for the Fursuit Menagerie the shot would have not shot properly. The 'Fursuit Menagerie' photo. I'm still astounded this shot worked (in stereo), I was fully expecting it to fail, which was why I took so much video of this exact moment. This corner of the hotel has a weirdly pleasant 'liminal' vibe to it, that's especially striking with depth. 'Akari' being the only badge I can make out in the photo for whom the subject is about.

A unused photo for the YAAvali (A #ChilloutVR and #VRChat Avali avatar) originally intended to go with the other photos for its Gumroad page. As with all of them, this was taken within CVR.
Unused because, as much as I liked it, 'twas a bit redundant with the similar ensemble photos that were used.
A group of YAAvali (Avali avatar) sitting in a living room being illuminated by the glow of a fire.

Because we didn't have enough of these things, presenting Yet Another Avali (YAAvali). A ChilloutVR and VRChat avatar, has the expected bells and whistles (Face tracking, etc.) with a handful of extras and included alternate texture options.
A Render of the YAAvali, posed slightly crouched to the ground while swiping at the air with a wing.

Updated this ChilloutVR / VRChat avatar with some minor additions and tweaks. Namely there's a brand new alternate set of textures for it (Being shown off flying over the original in this render,) and now a 'Medium' VRChat Android version.

A semi-recently finished VR avatar commission of Jusper's Ferrin, this post to compliment the prior one.
Not sure if this avatar will ever be seen without the wraps, and thus the fluff ever made visible, but they're certainly in there.
A brown and more brown Ferrin, balancing on one foot while twisting around from behind to look at the camera, doing a peace sign with the left hand.

A semi-recently finished VR avatar commission of Jusper's Ferrin.
This avatar was made with Magica Cloth in mind, so the cloak part isn't quite how it looks in its intended environment of ChilloutVR, but I hope this gives a good impression.

Finally got to making a avatar icon for the Vulper I use, as made by Reval with modifications done by myself.

This avatar is probably a shining example of "Looks pretty vanilla at first glance, but the more you look, the more minor changes become apparent from how it originally comes."
Reval's Vulper, both a male and female variant, holding each others hands while they lean back away from each other reaching towards the camera. Think the pose wound up being very 'Anime' in the end.

As a companion to the previous post, because a handful of these avatars also have toggles for 'fem alt' versions that also get used on the regular.

The VR avatars I regularly use as my 'main' personal avatars in the current, switching between depending on the mood or circumstances.
It's a lot more fun to get into a small avatar than scale something down that's supposed to be 2m tall, and just generally mix things up, y'know?
#ChilloutVR #VRChat
A collection of VR avatars, rendered out in a raytracing engine with polycounts far exceeding what would be reasonable for real-time use.

All have been pretty extensively modified and personalised, especially if it's someone else's base. In order from left to right:
The Hyenid, as made by Alber: https://alber.gumroad.com/l/Hyenid
The Maximus Draconis, as made by myself: https://dragonskyrunner.gumroad.com/l/MaximusDraconis
The DeerRex, originally a Rexouium, as made by Rezillo: https://rezilloryker.gumroad.com/l/MYutV (Do I really need to make a point of this at this point? Lel.)
The Voseus, as made by myself: https://dragonskyrunner.gumroad.com/l/Voseus
And finally, the Yinglet, as made by Wispweaver: https://wispweaver.gumroad.com/l/Yinglet

Finally have the v1.1 update for this VR Avatar Base done.
Have a look here: dragonskyrunner.gumroad.com/l/MaximusDra...
Far too long in the making, think I'm finally pretty happy with how the avatar is now.

Can't do more than 4 photos at a time? How annoying.
A few more #MFF photos for today, featuring @marsthecutie.bsky.social, BroadwaytheCat (Twitter), and @artseaanimal.bsky.social.
Mars/Venus.
This suit was fairly clean, in terms of not being cluttered design wise. Far too easy to go overboard with colours and design elements, but not this one. BroadwaytheCat.
This guy asked ME to take a photo of him, guess there's bound to be some amount of that when you lug what's two stops away from a abstract art project for a camera, lel.
Being honest, I wasn't that far off asking for one regardless. Partials can be pretty hit or miss, but this one was just that good spot of working as a complete deliberate costume instead of blatantly coming off as a "I can't afford a fullsuit so I'm just going to get head/hands/tail and not try beyond that", even WITH the otherwise normal clothing, because the rest of the 'costume' was actually themed. The "Artsea Animal" stall in the Dealers Den on the Sunday.
I took, far too many photos of plushies, and possibly just stalls in the Dealers Den in general. Mostly because they photograph so well in stereo.
Didn't really buy anything at MFF in the end, seem to have the opposite problem of a lot of people coming to these events where I just chronically don't like spending wads of cash on things. Stumbling on the Sergal meet on the Saturday.
This happened a couple of times, where I'd be wandering around and suddenly see a concentration of a particular species or interest and go "Oh, that meet must have been here just now".
If I had of thought of it at the time I would have asked to see if I couldn't of got enough of the Sergal suiters together to put their faces together into a complete cheese wheel.

A handful more from #MFF, likely the last couple posts as they're all in the Mega link if we want to peruse.
Featuring @allystergryphon.bsky.social
The Bird meet. There were a LOT of birds.
Couldn't even fit 'em all in frame. Allyster/Alym, with a DeltaMagpie hiding behind. Can't read the badge of the one on the left.
I only asked Allyster here for a photo, but somehow got a three-for-one on birds for this particular shot. A shot down the lower level Convention Hall on the Saturday.
Always a pretty consistent stream of people that day, no matter the convention Saturday is always the most busy. The badge reads "NCIII" or "NC111".
This guy was TALL. I asked the person this guy was with whether they were on stilts or just that tall, apparently they were really just that height. There's a person left of frame that's about normal height for incidental reference. If you ever saw this wickerbeast(?) roaming the halls, they'd always be a head taller than everyone.

Also @mattc188.bsky.social from the initial post, as I don't do the 'Social Media' thing and don't know how any of this works.

The glut of MFF Stereoscopic (3D) photos have been shifted through, finally.
Gonna post chunks of 'em here, but the full collection is mega.nz/folder/BPgiU... , as nearly 300 photos is, a decent few.
Here's a couple random ones so the post isn't entirely barren otherwise.
Ebb & Flo. (The Manokit Twins via Twitter & Instagram)
These two were fun, one of the few (pairs of) suiters I saw more than maybe twice. Going up the stairs in the main Convention Centre on the Friday. It gets, quite a bit more packed as the days roll by. The Hyatt on the Saturday, looking down the escalators. It's a constant stream of people in this areas. Seemed to be the best spot for finding fursuiters, presumably as walking to the other parts of the convention are a hassle. Chaos! the Crow (https://bsky.app/profile/mattc188.bsky.social)
Dunno what it is, but beaks on fursuits always seem to work really well.
dragonskyrunner.bsky.social
Total mostly usable photos was 290, so pretty spot on with approaching 300.
So, so many good photos that are un-viewable in stereo because there's no proper sync between the cameras. Ah well.
Still so much to go and try to fix up...
dragonskyrunner.bsky.social
Just got back from MFF. 'twas a blast and a half.
After lugging imgur.com/gallery/QgKe... around the entire convention weekend, have a lot of photos to shift through and post now. Something approaching 300 of 'em. Have a LOT of work ahead of me...

To end these 'Daily Old Renders' (Ran out of things worth presenting), a few things posted elsewhere, in no particular order.

'tis been good shifting through old images had on hand, maybe there'll be more things worth presenting in the future, who knows?
DragonSkyRunner's personalised Maximus Draconis of his personal character, posed floating in the air as he indicates behind him. The Voseus, looking at the camera with ears blown to one side, doing the 'peace' sign with its right hand.
This is used for the shop page for the avatar, and as a in-game avatar icon. Cynder the Dragon, as originally made for a mod for Spyro Reignited Trilogy, modified to be a bipedal VR avatar, twisting around in the air as she looks towards camera.
This render is a bit on the older side, and thus a touch crunchier than anything more recent.
dragonskyrunner.bsky.social
As a bonus (I swear I use other avatar bases, lel), this has a accompanying prop, the staff Krystal has from Star Fox Adventures.

I want to record a better video of this in motion, once I get proper 'Glove' controllers, as this being swung around looks SO good in motion.
The Hyenid, dressed up as Krystal as seen in Star Fox Adventures, posed with the staff Krystal uses in said game, in a modern open kitchen.

A screenshot for the 'Daily Old Renders', it still counts!
The Starfox Hyenid. Original base as made by Alber, the Starfox parts and modifications as made by myself.

As a update to the original, this avatar has redone face tracking, plantigrade legs, and added the often requested Adventures outfit.
The Hyenid, with textures and clothing meant to evoke (R63) Fox McCloud and Krystal of Starfox. Left to right, Krystal in her Tribal outfit from Starfox Adventures, Zero Suit Fox, Krystal in her Strafox Assult flight suit, and R63 Fox in a matching R63'd version of his normal outfit.

In today's 'Daily Old Renders', a Yinglet. As made by Wispweaver, added tail bags originally by Incaelesti, with extensive changes to both by myself.

Not shown here is the poncho that was also made for the avatar, despite looking fantastic with Magica Cloth, ends up covering most of the body.
Two Yinglets, one female and grey, the other male and orange, both with tail bags. The latter holding onto the tail of the former and vaguely pointing towards the camera, while the former is confused why the latter is doing what it is.
dragonskyrunner.bsky.social
In keeping with the 'Daily Old Renders', the Hyenid. As made by Alber, 'Genie Bikini' by MYRIADD, with extensive modification to both by myself.

The only reason there were 6 total breasts in the end was because adding another row on the belt line would have been a pain. Otherwise, there would be 8.
The Hyenid, modified to be multiboob'd with 6 total breasts, reclining cross legged on a invisible chair with arms lifted up and holding the head up as the Hyenid looks at the viewer.

To continue the 'Daily Old Renders', Cynder the Dragon on the Maximus Draconis. As made by myself.

This is a alternate angle of www.furaffinity.net/view/52006906/, as I felt the side-on view of the head would work better for avatar thumbnail purposes.
dragonskyrunner.bsky.social
Another in these 'Daily Old Renders', the Hyenid. As made by Alber with modifications done by myself.

Not anything too notable about this avatar, I just enjoy the relative simplicity compared to a lot of other avatars I run. Well, until Magica Cloth is brought into the mix anyway.
Alber's Hyenid, in jeans and a crop top, reaching up into the top corner of the frame.
