also alphinaud definitely talked some sense into her. i'm 100% convinced rhys would've fallen apart on her own and done stuff differently without him... he was her emotional support

the argument they had before estinien's possession was particularly bad and it was the only time when they fought with the intent of seriously hurting each other. after the possession... i think rhys was finally clear headed enough to consider a non hostile approach, so attempt to save him she did

hw era rhystinien were really not on good terms. they respected each other, but couldn't really see eye to eye on things... and they fought a lot bc of that. it was mostly rhys who started it, but she was also in a really bad mental state at the time (considering the post arr situation...)

considering rhys quite literally attacked estinien and fought him over the eyes after her battle with thordan (she had a bad feeling about it and wouldn't let him take both eyes with him)... after his possession i really do think the thought of killing him crossed her mind at least once
#wolqotd How did your WoL/OC react to Estinien’s possession? Did they believe they could save him from Nidhogg? Were they trying to come up with a plan of their own? Or were they preparing themselves to grant him a mercy kill?
