One aspect that makes both games so enjoyable and Supergiant once again nails is the run time. Each ~20-30 min run feels complete and satisfying, but short enough to give you that "just one more run" itch. I clocked in over 50 hours in 9 days.

Once again—super fun to play, the gameplay systems and story progression interwine perfectly. Bravo to Supergiant 🩷
Unsure if it surpasses the original—let’s see how post-game goes—but in any case, a masterpiece. Another 10/10 🌟

FYI I was obviously wrong and I’m loving Hades 2. I don’t think it’ll beat Khazan or Silksong as my GOTY but it’s definitely close 🤏🏼
Early on and I haven’t beaten Chronos yet but I’m not loving Hades 2.
Probably overhype (Hades is on my all-time top 10) but I feel the added magic overcomplicate things, and the story is good but not as much. Maybe it’ll grow on me but so far I’d say it’s a 9 & not a contender for my personal GOTY

By now it’s pretty safe to assume GOTY conversations will gravitate around indie titles: Clair Obscur, Hades 2, and Silksong—maybe even Blue Prince.
I think the industry will choose Clair Obscur cause it looks like a AAA game—would they have the balls to award GOTY to 2D 20—30$ titles? À suivre.
