I just found out about blackskyweb.xyz and I'm seeing it work in real time from here on bsky.app.

blacksky.app posts showing up just like regular Bluesky posts.

Although I'm pretty sure Bluesky still controls what I can see when I'm logged in here.

I'm wondering if we even hit the decentralized part of ATProto yet.

A lot of us (all of us?) are on Bluesky, and related ATProto apps and such use their PDSes (likely subject to the Bluesky Guidelines).

At a glance, it's looking like they've built their own ATProto infrastructure ("Bluesky server") funded by their community.

Looks really cool to see someone do it, but it's terrible what pushed them to achieve it.
