It is not lost on me that the same people bitching about needing to vet illegal immigrants don’t give a fuck about who they’re hiring to enforce immigration law.
Many suspect ICE is hiring Jan. 6 insurrections, white nationalists, etc. The truth is even scarier: ICE recruitment is so sloppy that the administration effectively has no idea who’s joining the agency’s ranks.

On a morning walk today with my kids, a car drove up on the sidewalk and crashed into a parked car. Missed us thankfully. I identified myself as a physician and luckily no one from ICE was around so was able make sure the driver was ok.

At the very least there needs to be immediate action that ICE agents cannot hide their identify and cannot be on their phone while on the job.
