I just had a student deacribe Curtis Yarvin as a "traditional conservative" and cite him as an authority in a class discussion. Kind of a "the call is coming from inside the house" horror movie moment.

Recently reading about the phenomenon of "A.I. hallucinations" once again reminds me that Ellis & Robertson's cyberpunk opus Transmetropolitan is among the most prescient works of dystopian fiction ever. Our machines are tripping balls while we sigh wearily.

They delight in our despair and I refuse to allow them that. We should not really have had any illusions about how cruel and greedy our country is after the experience of the past decade, but if any remained, they must certainly be gone now.
