It’s easy. Single payer. Medicare For All. Eliminate Medicaid (huge benefit for state budgets), eliminate Medicare Advntage, eliminate employer-provided health insurance. Increase business taxes to offset corp windfall from ending employer healthcare. Just do it.

It's really aggravating to see a "Democratic" Senator vote No here - a Senator for whom we had high hopes, and who has dashed those hopes.

I had a Fetterman yard sign. No more; we need a credible primary challenger in2028.

I expected this kind of behavior from Dave McCormick, but not Fetterman.

Don’t fault the press for your friend’s ignorance. She “heard” Oregon is a war zone? Where? Facebook? Fox? She didn’t make any serious effort to check? That’s lazy and stupid. The media is doing a lousy job, to be sure; but ignorance is its own reward.

Yep. At some point, a governor is going to say, "Enough!" - and red state Guard troops will be met by National Guard troops from the blue states they're invading. Trump is trying hard to cause armed conflict - and he, and his Nazi lieutenants, may become casualties.

Pritzker may need to call up the Illinois National Guard to defend his state against an invasion by troops from Texas. I don't like to suggest that - but Trump and Miller are bullies, and the only way to deal with a bully is to bloody his nose, hard.

You shouldn’t be surprised when people blame Harris for their own failings. People routinely try to avoid responsibility for their actions and mistakes. Blame Harris; blame a spouse. People don’t like to admit that they screwed up, or that they’re ignorant, or venal.

Yes. WW2 established that, in the absence of complete air superiority, the only thing battleships can really do is sink. And that was in a 1940s submarine environment, too. Sitting ducks.

Victory at Sea was really good TV for its day - great music, in particular. But Trump didn't even get the basic message from the naval campaigns of WW2 - i.e., the age of the battleship was OVER and DONE.

He wants to think about battleships!??! Battleships were largely sitting duck targets for air power - in 1941. The decimation of the US Pacific Fleet's battleships forced Nimitz to focus on carrier war - forced the Navy to go forward instead of back. Trump is an idiot.

As noted by a senior foreign diplomat at the UN last week: Donald Trump is stark, raving mad. He's not all there upstairs. He's just plain crazy. Is that simple dementia, or is it dementia on top of pre-existing psychosis?

Either way, the man is unfit for the office of the Presidency.
