and a sub-layer reset that forces you to redo the mechanic from scratch 0 with x10 less chances for el (worse eg, better lg, former is a lot worse cause it gatekeeps qols that are purposely inpersistent)

also, it cannot be fully automated! have fun constantly being yelled at to raise your fate level and being forced to do everything manually for such!!!

oh i tend to dont write things this directly negatively here my bad
in a more constructive manner, the mechanic is terrible. it is backtracking, bottlenecking, and rng-dependent all merged together, as a *main progression gimmick*
