In 2007, an employee of Iraqi Kurdistan’s ruling Barzani family wrote to a U.S. lawyer with a problem.

Two Barzani brothers had bought properties in the U.S. — but they were concerned that this information was public.

So the lawyer looked to the Pirates of the Caribbean.

Your next medical visit could be with a banned doctor.
Denise Barnes’ daughters say it’s shocking that the doctor who failed to properly treat their seriously ill mother is still licensed in Germany.

Struck off in the UK and Netherlands, he has co-owned a German practice since 2018.

When freedom of the press is under attack, journalists vanish, lies become law, and the voice of the people is silenced. It’s not just how democracies die, it’s how countries falter. It’s how they fall.

Trump wraps up a speech to military leaders that represented a major escalation of his effort to weaponize the armed forces into a tool he can use to violently quash domestic dissent. Hard to imagine how anyone with a shred of dignity can keep serving after this, which of course is the point.

Trump declares war on Americans: "Our history is filled with military heroes who took on all enemies foreign and domestic. That's what the oath says -- foreign and domestic. Well we also have domestic."

Looks like the pro-EU PAS party of Maia Sandu will win big in Moldova with almost 49% of the vote. The Pro-Russian party is just over 25%. That’s better than expected for Sandu as record voting abroad supported her despite repeated bomb threats at embassies. 96% of the vote is in.

The Russian parties spent millions in bribes and on aggressive propaganda which works in the U.S. and some EU countries but not in places where people know the Russian government very well.

Can Carter-Ruck be held liable for helping perpetuate this scam by their client? Anyone thinking class action suit with C-R as a defendant?

A lawyer for scumbag law firm Carter-Ruck is being brought up for improper threats to sue. We would argue almost all their letters to us are improper threats to sue. These attack dogs for organized crime and the corrupt need to be properly sanctioned: www.thebureauinvestigates.com/stories/2025...

Nice work by TBIJ on Carter-Ruck, a scumbag law firm always willing to help organized crime try to shut down journalism, or in this case, criminals to perpetuate a scam. These firms are not acting in the public interest. They should be made to pay restitution to any victims harmed in this case.

NEW: Britain’s fiercest libel firm, Carter-Ruck, acted for the $4bn OneCoin fraud and threatened its critics. Now they’re being prosecuted at the SDT.

Their response? An anonymity order to cover it up. But Carter-Ruck just lost that order - and it's all coming out.

No moment of silence is warranted. He was no hero. He was part of the problem. What happened to him was wrong and unacceptable but let’s see him for what he was: a racist, anti-democratic liar: www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
No, Charlie Kirk was not practicing politics the right way
His assassination deserves full condemnation; his full impact should not be sidestepped.

Kyrgyzstan was the closest thing to a democracy in Central Asia. Now it is maybe the worst government there. An organized crime connected government has eviscerated rule of law, democracy and human rights. Here is the story of what happened. www.occrp.org/en/project/u...
Inside the Crackdown: Kyrgyzstan's Preemptive Assault on Investigative Journalism
In Kyrgyzstan, authorities are no longer just reacting to stories — they are trying to stop them before they are told, dismantling entire newsrooms and effectively criminalizing journalism.

Not quite. Shiner lied about evidence. Here they are threatening people without proper basis which lawyers like C-R do ALL THE TIME. Every SLAPP suit is a lawyer abusing the system knowingly.
