Very sad to report the passing of John Hanscomb. John was the first editor of the Good Beer Guide (penning the immortal "avoid like the plague" line) and even claimed to be the person who suggested the term 'real ale'.

I can share details of his funeral for anyone that would like to attend.

I was curious what these lounges and quasi-bars looked like. Nothing exciting I'm afraid, like an unimaginatively decorated lobby of an outdated hotel.
