Peipartum women with past or current substance use disorders are often seen as bad people who need punishment vs sick people who need help getting well. Urine testing cannot define parental ability & we have to #StopStigma Find compassion & courage to change policies. Keep families together!

The sacrifices of medicine are no match for the suffering of humans that you will soothe. I am confident that your family are very proud of you for the fact that you chose to be a healer. Suffering does not watch the clock or calendar. Know that you are respected and admired for those sacrifices!
