Our space potato (aka the vacuum chamber) is toasty! Currently baking gently.

the ugly side: I also heard first-hand the detrimental effects of the current administration's attacks on universities and research culture, and their de-funding of diversity initiatives like Cu*IP (APS Conferences for Undergraduate Women and Gender Minorities in Physics).

I recently enjoyed a trip to the US Pacific Northwest. Lots of excellent physics conversations at DAMOP2025 in Portland, and a focused workshop on compressible turbulence at the UW's Institute for Nuclear Theory in Seattle. Of course I also took some time to walk in an old-growth forest!
