I'm warming my ears up for the #NeObliviscaris show tomorrow night! They'll be performing this album Citadel and their most recent album Exul in full. And #RiversOfNihil will open by performing their newest album in full. Should be an amazing night!

"The circadian rhythm extends far beyond sleep. It controls metabolism, your mood, how sharp you are at what time of the day, your alertness, all kinds of things."

#NeObliviscaris are one of my recent addictions. Just got a copy of their first album on vinyl. MDM from Australia 🇦🇺 with a violin. It's an amazing album, but if you've got 12 minutes to spare, give "And plague flowers the kaleidoscope" a listen, so much going on in that track, I absolutely love it!

Very excited to read this. Dr. Temple Grandin has made amazing contributions to Animal welfare and to positive narratives for Autism. It's wonderful that she's quite literally opened herself up to let the world have a peek inside psycnet.apa.org/fulltext/202...

Happy to share our newest pub, out now in Neuroscience. We show that neurons in the Hamster circadian clock, but not that of the rat or mouse, are surrounded by dense perineuronal nets, possibly explaining why this species has such a precise circadian rhythm. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

An MP says all of Canada should end the practice of changing the clocks twice a year — and is planning on introducing legislation she hopes will ensure the custom is lost to time.

My copy of the new album from #Blackbraid arrived today. Wonderfully creative Indigenous black metal. I really loved the textures of Blackbraid II. So far, so good on Blackbraid III.

A little #Fallujah to kick off the long weekend. Their new release Xenotaph is really strong. Got to see a couple of the band members guesting with Obscura and Born of Osiris earlier this year. Hopefully there will be a chance to see them preforming their own stuff soon.

Finally found a vinyl copy of one of my all-time favorite albums, "In Absentia" from #PorcupineTree. Lots of great tracks, but Trains is a classic and the acoustic guitar section sounds so clear, as if Steven Wilson was right there in the room playing it just for you.

Celebrating the Prince of Darkness with his final album, the Grammy-winning Patient Number 9. The lead-off track "Immortal" is strangly prophetic, as while we're all only on this spinning rock for a while, it is our legacy that makes us immortal, and few have left a legacy quite like #Ozzy

In honor of #BastilleDay, spinning some classic Rush. The lead-off track of Caress of Steel is "Bastille Day". Good track, but "The Necromancer" that ends side 1 and "The Fountain of Lamneth" that takes up all of side 2 are standout tracks for me.
