The Speed of Talk:Hattie stated that in primary schools, primary kids talk about about 124 words per minute. High school - 140 words.Teachers, 174 words per minute, which is too fast for many students to comprehend. And teachers also tend to speak at 1.5 to two grades above the grade level (Hattie).
