Seem to have a nasty flu-like virus despite having the jab (other viruses are available) so in the brief hours out of bed I’m watching #Blakes7 and knitting Christmas hats.

The Hillsborough report just piles trauma on trauma. Impossible to move on. The survivors and families are the strongest, bravest people ever to take on a lying, corrupt establishment over DECADES. They will never get justice but I hope they find peace #JFT97

Been ruminating about something the (nice, intelligent) Dad of that little boy with Hunter’s Syndrome said on R4 yesterday. He was gobsmacked to find out that the USA was not always at the cutting edge when it came to science, as he had always been told. It explains so much about America

Brits - whatever the Westminster bubble thinks - are still generally and quietly devoted to the BBC. Bit like the CofE, we don’t always agree / approve / tune in, but we want it to be there
