Forgive me if I get this wrong (farmers help!) but I think she would get £1 million tax-free and pay 20% on the rest, and potentially another million tax-free if her mother left her portion to her daughter rather than her husband. If she can sell it and it’s not mortgaged to the hilt of course

On holiday and my steroid inhaler has run out - I can picture the little pile of essentials I left on the spare bed 🤦🏽‍♀️- but my practice has immediately arranged for an emergency prescription to be collected from any pharmacy in the UK and I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR THE NHS
