I have a book on my shelf that I bought in 1987 because I was obsessed with galaxies. Here is the Sculptor Galaxy C65 from the book on the left and the image on the right I took earlier this year with a AU$900 telescope from my yard in Melbourne. These days we can all enjoy the cosmos.

Checked in on Nova V462 Lupi last night (on left) and it would appear the show is over. Image on the right is from June where it is clearly very bright.

Might have been a very bright moon, but the skies were clear last night so I took advantage of the buildings around me to shield from the moon and collect some nice images. Here is C103 - the Tarantula Nebula. Love the Southern Hemisphere sky!
