Trying to be strict with truthy/falsy checks in JavaScript because it might introduce bugs.

JS has two bottom types: null and undefined which makes it a hassle.

Learned today that
x == null
checks for both null and undefined i.e
undefined == null // true

null - JavaScript | MDN
The null value represents the intentional absence of any object value. It is one of JavaScript's primitive values and is treated as falsy for boolean operations.

Anyway, I just lanuched oopsalert.com a simple way to integrate an error message in your clients outside your own infrastructure, if an oops happens. Give it a spin. First message is free :)

Ah I see, sadly not that big at the moment. I would consider spending 100-300 dollars to try it out.

Indeed! I’m just amazed how bad the ux is. I usually use DO or Hetzner. Wanted to see what all the rave is about. Feels like big cloud is mostly for enterprises nowadays.
