Apprehensive feeling that me and co will be the youngest participants that evening…!

If that's to be believed, this is what's new and what's already out there

Thank god I made the decision to stick to CDs haha! (I will eventually move to Vinyl when I can afford!)

Genuinely the funniest roast of Seagal from Ollie, Rob and Nick, a much listen!

Always go back to the Anthology, or the Paul is Dead bonus.

Absolutely wonderful evening spent listening to @stevenc63.bsky.social and Peter Doggett discuss all things Beatle Books in Belfast! Can't thank them enough for their time and generosity.

If it was the CD set I’d go for it in a jiffy.

@beatlespod.bsky.social, always a thrill when reading various texts on the Beatles how a clearer picture is made. (Turner, Beatles' 66 / Weber, Beatles and the Historians, / Beatles Anthology)

@stevenc63.bsky.social, were you ever made aware of the Graphic novel “The Fifth Beatle” by Vivek Tiwary? It’s a very interpretative look at Brian Epstein and his managing of the Beatles.

I’m a massive DW fan since I was 9, before the Beatles entered my orbit.

Doctor Who, wow! Was this in focus of any Beatles content like their potential cameo in 1965?

Love @marklewisohn.bsky.social observations of when the Beatles began. 1964? 1962? 1960? No, 1958 is Year One with the start of John, Paul and George. Put's into perspective how much they've already been through together by the time they take over the world of music and pop culture.

I really enjoyed this, and I think it says more of my silly priorities that as I'm reading thinking "Wait George co wrote 'in spite!'" I think Leslie really paints a far more morbid picture of John's mentality particularly in 1968, shocked me more the anticipated.

Wanted to drive the girlfriend to Belfast during the summer already

Yoko “ok then, time to get in the bag. Be in here when you want me John x”

Rob mentions his pork pies at a point, offered me one of them last year haha!

Wanted to give Jerry Rubin a smack also.

Hearing “Come Together” thunder under my seat at the IFI today was incredible. The only real complaint was no use of his David Frost appearance where he gets mad with the audience or any mention of STINYC being a flop.

I'll be interested now they've been Spector-wiped, which of the two concerts deliver more. Guess it'll be a healthy mix.
dublinfox98.bsky.social
I’d even written to Paul Madden the director of the piece if he had any means of showing it but it’s all locked away at the BFI. Hard to justify a plane trip to watch a 30 min piece haha

I’ve always hoped to see a documentary focus on Dianne as much as say Raymond Briggs has. I was aware of a documentary made in 1993 but try as I could it seemed impossible to view it unless I flew to London

I’m really hoping in the documentary Come Together is featured. Would be so incredible to see that on a big screen next month. “We’ll go back to the past, just once!” ☝️
