Not a game but Raze, a build engine source port only has a flatpack version and it sucks ass because it can't find their on midi files to play the game correctly.

Do yourself a favor and use Linux Mint
linux update: can’t get steam to start in kubuntu. had to boot in -verbose in terminal to see the error message — a recent regression in libsdl? loving this first day of linux

Linux Mint has a Debian Edition as well in case that things like this started happening

Puta la wea
Perdón, pensé que el skeet era sobre Linux por qué me salío en mi feed de Linux.

Mil disculpas

Imagine instead having a blue screen with a sad face, instead you get in there and fix the issue manually

Like, it's your computer and look at what have you done

I've heard recently that apparently Blender, which is already greatly supported on Linux, has in fact a pretty good video editor.

Yeah 8 felt like it was aimed for a mobile system.
And 10 was ok imo but never was a fan of it. Even less after they started integrating the AI stuff.

Win7 was peak, but one of the criticisms of Mint has been that it feels old for aiming to that design.

They are wrong of course, Mint looks great

Their app store has support for both native applications and flatpacks as well, just search for what you want and install it and you are done.

It's also debian based so you can search on google any program that runs on .deb and it will install it with a double click as well.

Mint user here. This distro is designed to be two things:
1.- Familiar for people coming from Windows
2.- Simple to use and prioritizing graphical interfaces instead of the terminal

I think it does both very well, the DE is reminiscent to Win7/Classic Windows.
Also has its own app store-

We are getting Photoshop this year, so it might happen that at some point too
February 3, 2026 at 1:41 AM
Estás en el momento correcto si quieres usar Linux, por qué en la versión beta de Wine agregaron un parche que permite instalar Photoshop.

Todavía no está listo públicamente pero ya está dando buenos resultados

Let me guess "it's time" ? Isn't it ?

Always with that old slogan and it doesn't ring true like things used to be.
There's many Linux versions that are ready to use from the start like Mint or ZorinOS.

If you don't want a computer to do computer things then get a smartphone

CachyOS esta basado en Arch? Si es así entonces deberías esperar ese tipo de conversaciones en ese lado de la comunidad.

I really miss dumb phones and having one tool for each specific thing

Agentic Systems are not coexisting with intelligent people but trying to replace them

AI is intrusive and forced upon in every little app which are also forced upon to make anything works

Things don't need to be this way

Nah, if I break the system I'll just start over like is a roguelike

TIL you can "get gnomed" when using Linux.

A combination of installed packages can cause GNOME desktop to spontaneously appear on your computer.

There's even a whole subreddit dedicated to it.

I hate to preach (that's a lie, I love it, sorry) but personal computing is actually in danger; right now, switching to open source/non Microsoft, Amazon, Google options, even in small ways, may be one of the most impactful things you can do if you consider your PC to be part of your way of life.
Hold onto your hardware for as long as possible unless you don’t care and want everything done on the cloud through fuck ass subscription models I guess

Fíjate si lo estás cargando en modo UEFI o en modo Legacy desde tu BIOS.

Puede que no sea compatible con uno de esos y lo este cargando con el incorrecto
