i do intellectually agree with this, but i (and many other people), at least in the moment, have a bit if trouble when i can tell someone doesn’t like me. ….partly because making it that obvious is actually pretty rude.

congratulations to my maybe a few months old alarm clock on simply not playing either of the two alarms i set today. my timing still works out, thankfully, but i simply Cannot have this kind of behaviour from any alarm.

finally got my flu shot. didn’t tell them i’m scared of needles this time, and honestly i think that’s easier on everyone. i know how to handle it myself by this point, telling them just makes them feel awkward i think. (this is not advice.)

dropped my phone and felt a shard of something hit my ankle. decided to leave the phone where it lay until i was emotionally prepared to see the damage.

5 minutes later, turns out it was the screen cover i use because i don’t want my keys scratching the screen. phone is fine. so that’s nice.

the idea that a school would require anyone with a wheelchair to submit an application to be able to use a restroom in one of their buildings and that would be considered “doing their best“ is not only laughable, it is offensive.

that is not accessible, and if it’s somehow legal, it shouldn’t be.

the changes you make when you adapt a story are very telling, i think. more so when the story is true. the netflix ed gein thing seems like a great example of this, where the homophobia and transphobia are weird and off-putting, and the misogyny fairly boils off the screen.
