BlueSky banned my friend Mohammed Ahmed once again, this time after posting how he will lose his land because of Trump’s plan for Gaza.

He asked me to share this with you all.

Hello my brothers / I have some words that I must say from the beginning when I was displaced from Rafah I had great hope to return to my land which is located near the Philadelphi axis where my house, sheep and trees are. I was planning to rebuild everything from scratch with donations and I will not hide from you a secret that I was saving part of the money I received from donations to rebuild that. I was planning to connect water and build wooden or tin houses and connect water and start planting olive trees and buy 10 sheep and start establishing a herd and life goes on. / But a few days ago I saw Trump's plan to end the war. I was surprised that the plan includes a buffer zone on the Philadelphi axis and this news was like a thunderbolt for me. My land that my grandfather inherited from me, I will never return to it / Politicians are planning without considering the psychological and material damage that will befall me and my family as a result of this plan / I want to ask you, is this fair? Of course not / I will say something in the end. I swear that now I do not have an alternative plan for all this tragedy that | have been exposed to / I will honestly tell everyone that from now on I am not collecting money to buy food and tents / Rather, l am collecting money for something bigger than that. Now I must provide a better future for my children after their tand was occupied / All I want from vou is for vou to understand what without considering the psychological and material damage that will befall me and my family as a result of this plan / I want to ask you, is this fair? Of course not / I will say something in the end. I swear that now I do not have an alternative plan for all this tragedy that | have been exposed to / I will honestly tell everyone that from now on I am not collecting money to buy food and tents / Rather, I am collecting money for something bigger than that. Now I must provide a better future for my children after their land was occupied / All I want from you is for you to understand what lam saying with your hearts and minds / What will I say to my seventy-year-old mother? Will I tell her that you will not return to your trees?
Or will I tell her that you will end up displaced from a tent that is not fit to live in? Or will I tell her that we must leave Gaza and go to another country? / Believe me, I am writing words that come from my heart to your hearts / You are my community that has always stood by me for many long months / That is enough because I write and cry

Please, just stop sending me AI videos of Dad. Stop believing I wanna see it or that I'll understand, I don't and I won't. If you're just trying to troll me, I've seen way worse, i'll restrict and move on. But please, if you've got any decency, just stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone even, full stop. It's dumb, it's a waste of time and energy, and believe me, it's NOT what he'd want.
To watch the legacies of real people be condensed down to 'this vaguely looks and sounds like them so that's enough,
, just so
other people can churn out horrible TikTok slop puppeteering them is maddening. You're not making art, you're making disgusting, over-processed hotdogs out of the lives of human beings, out of the history of art and music, and then shoving them down someone else's throat hoping they'll give you a little thumbs up and like it.
Gross. And for the love of EVERYTHING, stop calling it 'the future. Al is just badly recycling and regurgitating the past to be reconsumed. You are taking in the Human Centipede of content, and from the very very end of the line, all while the folks at the front laugh and laugh, consume and consume.

The Former Free Church in Skerray has gone on the market. It's a little "tin tabernacle" church, constructed by the local Free Church congregation in 1903 after they left their building in Strathy when it became a United Free Church.

Just finished reading "Stories of the Strange and Sinister" by Frank Baker. More strange than sinister, but very good. Several have a Cornish setting, Baker of course having lived there for various periods of his life. Recommended.
Book cover. Blue words on a dark green background. "Stories of the Strange and Sinister" by Frank Baker.

I'm glad my Dad's too senile to realise what the Labour Party has become. It would break his heart.

These are some of the most extreme restrictions on immigration in years. We're told to see them as benign because they're less bad than Farage's far-right extremism. But they are still terrible.

This government is obscene. There are no words for it.

I am genuinely baffled and distressed as to why the UK government is intent on destroying UK's genuinely world-leading universities, who bring £265 billion into the economy and support more than 250,000 jobs.

This tax will kill us.

Well, excellent film, thank you for the company. I think that's it for me though, too frustrating not to be able to interact in something approaching real time. Best wishes to you all. #TheFilmCrowd
