Even now only candidates far to the left of corporate Ds are inspiring people.

Most of the advantage Ds have going into the midterms is due to being less awful than the Rs.

It strikes me that Mamdani has turned politics on its head.

The billionaire money, the racist & religious attacks, brush offs by corporate Ds all backfire & ⬆️ his numbers. Reminds me of Star Trek where phaser hits only make the enemy more powerful.

Given the relentless sh*t I took for my first name growing up in a rural community in the 60s & 70s, what other people must have been through for names they did not choose always occurs to me.

There was some youthful torture over "Robinette".

It leaves a mark.

I'm have a solo law practice and I want to turn off the damn AI functions in my Google Workspace email. JFC. Can't even place the cursor w/out it trying to take over. Disabled all AI in Gmail settings but Chrome itself may be the culprit, but I don't have the admin credentials to turn them off?!?!

This reminds me of how lawyers look in the series Suits; it's 10 pm, no 5 o'clock shadow, the suits & hair are perfect & the women are wearing cocktail dresses.

If you've worked late at a law firm, you know the reality is a more greasy, unkempt, slovenly mess.

I just popped in on Threads, & saw accounts posting about what an unusable hellhole Bluesky is.

I'm not engaged to the extent that I have a feel for these things. Bluesky doesn't feel like a hellhole to me.
