The 7 contestants were all impressive & SO many warmly welcoming to me.

San Diego has the largest outdoor musical instrument in the world, the #SpreckelsOrgan! I teared up to #Edelweiss in the #SoundOfMusic Medley played by Spanish organist #RaúlPrietoRamírez! His concert also featured Debussy, Bach, Liszt & Frank. It was a charmed, blue sky day too. 🩵☀️ #BalboaPark

I felt SO seen in the recent #NYTCrossword! (Props to #The3Contraltos too!) At first I worried “midrange” meant in quality. 👀 LOL. Thankfully, it was just vocal range. 👏 Who is your favorite Alto? I often first think of #KathleenFerrier, also a #contralto. Her woodwind-like tone is so affecting. 🎵
