This morning, I drove 1.5 hours to an animal shelter in Alcabideche, collected two dogs and delivered them to the shelter I volunteer for in Sesimbra. I was back later this afternoon and one of them, a young puppy, was being adopted. This is why I volunteer with an animal shelter. #Adopt,Don'tShop

Is that not a disabled lift on the right side of the stairs? It goes right to the open door and does not continue up to the next floor so I am guessing a previous owner had it installed.

So, yesterday at 17h00, I checked how much rain had fallen during the afternoon. 31 mm! This morning I checked again, another 19 mm. And the rest of the week is supposed to be wet as well. I will not be watering my garden any time soon, I guess...

I am wishing us luck. I turned in my ballot at the embassy recently when I went to pick up my renewed passport. Here's hoping enough people wake up and vote sensibly.

In any case, I have a bottle of wine waiting to either celebrate a bit or to drown my worries. Or to add to coq au vin.🤔
