Now in sick day viewing I’m watching the season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy. It’s insane this show is in its 22 season. It’s been on the air longer than college aged kids have been alive!

I am watching some dumb movie with Meg Ryan and David Duchovny as exes who run into each other stuck in an airport during a snowstorm. It’s making me crazy that flights were diverted ther, no one can get out and yet the airport is practically empty.

It's been at least 6 years since I've been sick with anything that's given me a significant cough. I forgot how miserable it is.

Apparently all the drug companies tried to make their cough medicine taste better since I last had a cough 6 years ago. The Robitussin and NyQuil cough are both some awful berry flavors whose taste I cannot get out of my mouth. At least the awful anise flavor went away with water.

Sick day companion. I’m actually feeling a lot better than I did yesterday when I should have taken a sick day but I didn’t sleep well and want to knock this out, so I did some work from home this morning and am now watching tv.

I don’t know when we decided that romance movies should not in fact wind up with the people getting together at the end, but I’m over it. I don’t want people to die, or choose themselves, or whatever else. I want the happily ever after. We for some reason decided that was weak. Screw that.

In cold update news, the hacking cough seems to mostly be gone now but my lymph nodes hurt. That did prompt me to take another COVID test because the only time I can remember that happening as after a COVID vaccine. Still negative. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be right as rain.

Yeah, I discounted Jehovah's Witnesses because they don't celebrate any holidays, and she seemed specifically upset about Halloween. But who knows. I guess it doesn't matter. I was just thinking it might be the rare instance where it was sort of the dominant religion.

In this case I’d bet that it’s a super conservative Christian family that isn’t celebrating Halloween. I grew up with plenty of kids that weren’t allowed to celebrate it because it’s the devil’s holiday or whatever.

Thanks! It’s been pretty mild so far. I’m hoping the coughing goes away as quickly as all the other symptoms I’ve cycled through. Covid and flu tests also negative here.
