We use Yonder pouches. Students put old phones in them, and often forget them in the classroom. AI use is blocked in classrooms. I’m teaching computer science using Java, which few students will ever use. We are preparing students for a world that no longer exists. calmatters.org/commentary/r...

I have some projects in Claude that store data (memory) in a D1 database. A graph DB would be way better for on device synced memory for Siri+.🤞https://appleinsider.com/articles/26/02/11/faster-more-flexible-databases-could-be-coming-to-filemaker-or-iwork

There's some irony in using AI to filter out AI-generated slop.

I vibe coded a Y2K era Google clone, powered by Claude, now I get those ten blue links again.

Most estimates from teams I worked on at Apple and Google were wildly optimistic, like the ones LLMs consumed in their training data. Claude tracked its progress and the tasks were completed 90% quicker than it anticipated.

Siri (powered by Gemini) should work primarily with local FileMaker databases. The database on your own machine never caught on beyond spreadsheets, but now I can install a local DB and have Claude use it for memory of structured data. Presentation is a web app, but native would be better.
