Dimitry - Doing great things at a snail's pace

I write stories for videogames, that I intend to convert into real games using Godot.

Hello! I'm Dimitry, a millenial from Northern Spain. I made Game Maker demos in the early 2000s, then life happened. I've become interested in gamedev again after covid with a strong focus on stories with emotional outcomes. 2026 will be my year. Follow me for more!
En Ucrania había de eso. Voy a ver si los puedo volver a localizar.

I remembered his name and he appeared on Linkedin and some Danish pharmaceutical company. I guess his work is very secretive and he needed to deleted all his past activities online.

He covered both this song by Matchbox Twenty and stuff by The Goo Goo Dolls. Aside from Danish rock bands like Kashmir or Dizzy Mizz Lizzy. I really miss him. Too bad he nuked the whole thing, he was amazing.

This makes me really sad. Years ago a Danish musician published several covers both on piano and guitar. His soulful voice made the renditions timeless. I came back to it last year and all was gone. He became a scientist and removed all his past music from YouTube, now impossible to listen to.

Going through some delicate stuff now. Things I'm doing or going to do: consume all the media I gathered, write new stories, continue drawing and publish the drawings, settle on a freeware 2D Godot project, save some money for a used PC that can run Blender, more candles and cactus. #gamedev #godot

I can understand the concept of collecting, but these dolls are very ugly. I like designer toys. Not this.

These two are my favourite people in the world

And we would get better games, like in the 90s, instead of endless slop.

Ubisoft is the only company that I wish fired more people. We would get more bangers like Stray and Clair Obscure.

I must kill the monster to advance. There's a wounded prisoner on the other side. I will be paid good money for rescuing him. With the heir back, the kingdom will become stronger to fight more monsters. But they just want to coexist and they fight to survive. Maybe I'm the monster after all?

Just played this great game. Visually pleasing with great attention to detail. I wishlist a lot of games, most of it for research, but this is one game I really want to play when it hits.
Cheers everyone who's been playing the Lelu demo, it really means a lot!
If you haven't played yet, here's a link to the steam demo - store.steampowered.com/app/3131340/...

It sucks. I'm taking an immune supressant and I had three colds in a row last summer. I got face masks for when I take the bus or the train just in case.

If the early access does not work, you could make the game free to play with paid DLC. This would drive downloads and create familiarity. Then you would release a paid version on console and mobile. The whole solo dev thing scares and excites me at same time. I'm writing several plots for games now.
February 10, 2026 at 11:07 PM
This kind of genre would work well with online multiplayer. I don't know if you already have this, but you could add different multiplayer games into it like steal the flag. I think you should add online play to the PC version, because the publisher would want some sales to justify a console port.

This is why I suggested the change of theme, not because I'm against it. If the bodily theme is turning people off, maybe make another friend slop game with the same gameplay now that you've worked on this for a long time.
February 10, 2026 at 8:37 PM
I am not disregarding the concept or theme, I quite like it. I'm saying the game has a publisher and technically looks like a game that makes 50k€ in a year, but you have 5 reviews estimated at 600€ revenue (without deducting publisher rate) so it would be interesting to understand why.
