✨ Keep it simple, make it scale. AI should be about empowering users and building understanding. 👩‍💻 AI Developer Experience @ Google DeepMind, ex-Github, ex-Google

👋 Greetings + welcome, new BlueSky-gazers!

I'm an engineer working on the developer experience for @Google's AI tools, especially aistudio.google.com, its API keys, @GoogleColab, Gemma open-source models, @Kaggle, and JAX.

I post use cases, quick technical overviews, and images of hiking trips. 😀
Google AI Studio
Google AI Studio is the fastest way to start building with Gemini, our next generation family of multimodal generative AI models.

🧮 I've created a collection of automations recently, using @github.com Workflows and the ai.dev Gemini APIs - but my favorite one might be math bot.

A beautiful new 3D-math-thing delivered to my inbox each morning, with a short background on why it's interesting/important + code to replicate:

👋 Reminder: the Gemini APIs in ai.dev have a batch mode, which not only saves time – but also money (up to 50% of the standard costs)!

If you're sending in many requests all at once, I strongly, *strongly* recommend taking a look.

📄 ✍ Late to the party, but just created a document signing app with Google AI Studio's Build in four iterations!

It asks the user to upload a PDF, then converts each page to an image and uses Gemini to define bounding boxes around open fields that would need to be completed.

TIL the technical term for trash-talking is "counter-detailing", and will absolutely be deploying this bad boy as a descriptor on the regular

TIL "Acetaminophen* has for decades been the nation’s leading cause of acute liver failure." 😰

* Largely from extra-strength Tylenol

am chomping at a bit at the very idea of waiting, but seeing this many people take advantage of longreads from the @sfpubliclibrary.bsky.social = 💓

😰💊 "To this day, agency officials estimate they learn about somewhere between 0.01% and 5% of the serious problems that patients and consumers experience with prescription drugs.

[...] For over-the-counter remedies like Tylenol, reporting problems are far worse."

🙌 Google DeepMind crew at the @ycombinator.bsky.social founder + alumni mixer!

Everything from data annotation, to assistance with managing private equity companies, to robotics hardware, to just-in-time information serving for sales reps, to tankless diving equipment (!!).

every time i see a vector or spinner art installation it just makes me want to sprint towards it with a blow dryer 😆

🎸✨Instead of hiding my questionable and ever-evolving @lastfm.bsky.social history, I built a Python bot to roast me about it every morning!

🤖 Poe API + ScriptBot (w/ Gemini⚡️)
⚙️ @github.com Workflows (running daily for free)
📩 Gmail (to bring it all home)

And the best part? ~$1.75 per year to run.

definitely was not expecting this question on the India visa application 😅🇮🇳

(and character limit means that I'm going to need to decide between "tattoo of wifi signal" or "tattoo of the molecular structure of dopamine", which one is more distinctive??)

🙌 Join the Gemini 3 global hackathon for early API access to build next-gen apps! We’ve got $100k in prizes + funding opportunities for the best builds.

If you've yearned to start a passion project or to kick the tires on an idea for a company, there's never been a better time.

😰 The stories of people who developed cancer due to using baby powder (TL;DR, if it's talcum-based then it's almost certainly contaminated with asbestos) are *heartbreaking*.

Sure does make a person wonder what seemingly innocuous products we're using now are actually horrible for our health:

📚🎶 Extremely impressed with the San Francisco Symphony and SF Public Library for hosting a free chamber music concert tonight!

Packed house, all ages, pristine vibes:

🎼 A massive pet peeve for me when learning new piano pieces is attempting to either imagine—or hunt down a recording—for how a song might sound.

ai.dev/build just built me a sheet music to MIDI alternative using Gemini 3.0: paste in or take a picture of sheet music, then hear the track.

🙌 Had so much fun today delivering the ai.dev vibe coding workshop at @berkeleyhaas.bsky.social!

And it's wild to think that the new state of the world is: "by the end of this class, all of you should have created and deployed an application on Google Cloud".

Will be in Dubai for a little bit on the week of February 23rd! Who should I meet while there?

And if you have recommendations for food or activities, please send 'em over - have never been to the UAE before, but have heard that the chocolate and the architecture are something special. 🍫🏙️

🇯🇵 my local japanese supermarket sells sashimi bowls made fresh every hour, and i am *obsessed*
January 13, 2026 at 1:46 AM
The "No More Tears" Johnson & Johnson tell-all has been *wild*.

Nuggets:

- Talcum is colocated geologically with asbestos, so it often has trace contamination.
- Baby powder, makeups = you guessed it, both talcum based
- J&J created fentanyl, Merck and Pfizer did cocaine and morphine

Multimodal spatial reasoning + code execution = 🤯

Watch Gemini 3.0 Flash in Google AI Studio analyze this architectural diagram. It uses Thinking to plan a strategy—actually creating image crops to verify the tiny "WC" labels—and then uses Code Execution to draw precise bounding boxes. 📐✨

🏗️ Google DeepMind and Google Cloud are at @ycombinator.bsky.social today!

Come learn all about Google AI Studio, the Gemini APIs, Antigravity, the Gemini App, and all of the @googlelabs.bsky.social products.

🧵 Thread on beautiful data centers:

MareNostrum 4 (Barcelona SCC): Often called "the most beautiful data center in the world," this facility is housed inside the Torre Girona Chapel, a deconsecrated 19th-century church.

When fully installed, it will have a peak performance of 13.9 Petaflops.
