'Ello, I am a sad monster what writes about unsettling and fantastical things that lurk in dark places. Mostly horror flavored, some erotically charged, and all of it weird.

Six horror short covers with the words, "looking to be a touch disturbed, or unsettled?" above them

Editing is essential. I have bouts of obsessive energy wherein I ignore everything else to write. The house will be a mess and my family and I probably starving but hey...I got a novel. Can't guarantee it'll be any good but it's there.

#WealdandWen doesn't have any mentioned. But, due to how the main three treat possessions and the forethought of giving something to another, you could probably give any of them a leaf they watched you pick up off the ground and they'd treasure it.

Tell me more about your #AwesomeCharacters

Let's talk about gifts!🎁

Are there gift giving occasions in your world? If so, is your character easy to buy for?

What do they like to get? (Items, experiences, other?)

Do they give good gifts to others?

It...so much T^T

Not sure I'll get the novella or short done in time this year because edits and covers but the novel is done. It is in beta hands. It might make it. I hope.

I published four shorts and a novella one year, one short the next and planning a short, novella and novel this year. Also drafted four novels (160k-220k in length) over two years but haven't published them because editing and cover art is time-consuming and I'm doing this alone.
eliseswritings.bsky.social
Authors, in the interest of helping readers spot gen ai 'authored' books, how many novels do you publish a year?

I publish one 80-100k+ word (epic fantasy) novel, and I can only do that because I drafted 8 novels before I started publishing any. 📚💙

Parnamyr. He's somewhat of a living puppet who makes puppets of living things and 'plays' with them often. Highly intelligent and deeply flawed, the only things he cares for as more than toys are his sister and his creator. Though he does toy with his sister often enough to be uncomfortable.
Parnamy Ophmit Dox, the Lady's Scholar, Child of Blood and currently an amalgam of bark, metal, various leathers and ethereal thread tormenting living things for fun, study and sustenance. This is a bust of him making a confusing expression, his four arms wriggling in-frame. Parnamy Ophmit Dox, the Lady's Scholar, Child of Blood and currently an amalgam of bark, metal, various leathers and ethereal thread tormenting living things for fun, study and sustenance. He is bursting from a frame of stones, lidded eyes and tongue lasciviously licking his cheek as one of his four hands reaches for you. Parnamy Ophmit Dox, the Lady's Scholar, Child of Blood and currently an amalgam of bark, metal, various leathers and ethereal thread tormenting living things for fun, study and sustenance. Here is grinning at work on a spent doll, sewing it back up after whatever horrors he enacted upon it. The workshop he tends to his toy in is bordered by writhing figures in stone and watched by a tiny winged pebble. Parnamy Ophmit Dox, the Lady's Scholar, Child of Blood and currently an amalgam of bark, metal, various leathers and ethereal thread tormenting living things for fun, study and sustenance. At rest, in his sitting room, he regales a recording device shaped after his own face of all the horrors he's committed last light. His sister, a winged pebble of a creature, sits on another of his devices decidedly not listening.

I want to join the groups going for archons or eidolons, because it is impossible to do those alone, but I will have a panic attack.

So I'll slowly grind rep with dumb 90s kids and tortured plant people until they stop giving me things to do, never quite reaching max potential on any of my frames.

It is weird to play MMOs as someone who doesn't like to play with strangers. It used to be different and I made friends through random groups but I've grown more nervous over the years and can't even handle the rush groups that don't speak.

Which is to say Warframe has become difficult to play. T^T

Mushy vampires for you today, #WIPSnips as the wheel said #BeforeDeluca and the first instance of this word brought this
Hearing him and knowing well what he meant, with a gnawing desire to voice it myself, I couldn’t keep from teasing again, “what was that, my dream?” Shoving me, he kept quiet, waiting for my sincerity. I gave it and the words he sought—before he could—coiling tighter to whisper it in his ear, “I love you, Lucient.”
Lips answered with hungry kisses before he whispered back, “I love you, Ludovico,” more covered my cheeks and my neck as he said it again, “so much I love you,” and extra beside, grabbing my face and feeding more hungry kisses to my lips, “thank you for staying...for loving me. Thank you.”
That night I learned one does not need a soul to love, as I well and truly did love him—for all our eternity I will—and there was never any doubt he felt the same.
A strange feeling, that love; warm, whole, pulsing as a second heartbeat within me. I’d loved, surely, but never like I loved him—nor would I again—though I dreamed of it. A romantic might say Lucient was the answer to those dreams. But I doubt a romantic would have counted a night of wanton slaughter as a date or held it among their most prized examples of their love. No, ours was unique in many ways and terribly mundane in others.
I ached for so many years to hold someone the way I held him, to be held how he held me, to touch and kiss but also laugh and cry. To find that, to have that after so long being denied, forbidden even...if someone had told me I died, truly died, and those weeks—months—with him were my own personal heaven I would have believed them.

I don't normally do this, but I've been burning the candle at both ends.

Other half had a major op earlier this year and now I'm in hospital for an investigation.

Regardless of what's wrong, I need rest, but I've had little work this year.

I'd appreciate if anyone is able to help out.

The same can be said if they *ask* for a commission without you ever seeing them previously. Without them ever liking a thing. You post a dumb little art and here's some guy with no face asking you to message them immediately so they can commission you.

They are a bot, friends. A lying bot.

It was not on purpose I swear.

Survived the death ball but now am sleepy. I am supposed to bring an umbrella if the sun is glaring and I make the mistake of choosing the brightest time of day to go outside but I forgot.

Sun sensitivity sounds real fun on paper, not so great in practice.

To hell with the death ball, I am going for a walk and it is not stopping me.

If I do not return, it means I was burnt to a crisp and lay in a pile of ashes on some sidewalk somewhere.

Ok. Still working on Star Sentinels. So this seems like a good idea.

I'm DD Ward, smut and trauma peddler.

I'm working on my project: Star Sentinels of Cerberus. It's a buddy cop story about veteran and rookie magical girls teaming up to stop a kaiju in a futuristic city of tomorrow.

I don't know how anyone does word goals for things. I end them when they're over. Sometimes I go in with the intent of writing a short story and end up with a novella, or a novella that becomes a novel. But I'm not aiming for a number.

This is for a submission, so I'm trying, but I hate it.
