It sucks to be so enthusiastic about something that other people simply don't care that much about. My god. I thought I lost my spark but sometimes it feels like I'm the only one bringing color into the room.

Even if I don't count each number I know in ASL (or any of the letters), I actually know over 100 signs. Huh.
On that note, I want to make a database of all the words I know in ASL to see how far I've come. Might even make flashcards out of them.

This is normal language acquisition stuff though. I learn for a bit and after some time, I can learn to fill in the gaps using context. That's how I knew I was on a good trajectory when learning Spanish and now I'm at least reading-fluent (I don't speak it. Too many mental roadblocks.)

I'm really starting to pick up on this ASL stuff. I was watching a Bill Vicars video and didn't have captions on, but I intuitively knew he said "The cameras are rolling" right at the start of the video even though I don't even know the word for "rolling." I saw what looked like the word for webcam.

All major autism advocacy groups support self-diagnosis of autism. Self-diagnosis, especially in this day and age, saves lives and allows us freedom.

I went a whole decade never being misgendered in person and then a few months ago, the manager I worked with for several months referred to me with they/them pronouns while introducing me to someone. Every single person at that job knew I was a he/him guy. It was weird.
