One of my fav clips man; if you're gonna watch a movie let yourself feel it deeply don't just look at the screen between glances at your phone. Engage with the medium damnit!

Also, yes there is a satanic cow at one point... It's that kind of weird and I'm a slut for it.

Just a warning to any prospective readers this book has all the trigger warnings you can imagine. It’s done in a schlocky way but there is: rape, incest, sacrifices, blasphemy, gore, child murder/assault. Any upsetting thing you can imagine is there so you have to kinda turn your conscious off.

So I ended up buying it and, to be quite honest, this is the most fun I’ve had reading in months. I’m about 90% done and it is by all means the most over the top, at times sickening, shock-horror, B-Movie, cliché story I’ve ever read. And I kinda love it.

One of my fav tropes in fiction is when shit gets so real the author needs to totally change the chapter naming format

I'm an old man repeating the same stories year after year after year...
Btw if you're still craving some later classic horror this one is a fav I stumbled upon a few years back 👀

In horror I’ve never seen the concept of demons or satanic cults that existed through the timeline of the Book of Genesis and honestly it’s such a compelling idea that I might steal it for my own scribblings 👀
"They're God's failures, son. The devil took them, made them his own. Don't ask me how—I can't answer that. I'm just a man.
Or was." He snarled, the sound coming from his mouth chilling Sam.
"I don't have much time, son. Sam, the Bible doesn't make reference to God's mistakes-naturally. Who was around to record them? Confirm them?" Lucas began to slobber, his jaws growing thicker, the saliva, a stinking drool, began dripping from his mouth and thickening lips. The transformation of this gentle man was horrible to witness.
"They're cunning, Sam. They survived the Flood and everything else God did in His attempt to destroy the evil on this earth. He failed there, too. I don't know why, or how, but He did. You know God rules the Heavens and Satan rules the Earth." He growled. "The Beasts belong to Satan-they answer only to him." Lucas screamed; a roar, the slobber spraying from his lips.

Also, after months of searching, I finally got my quiche Lorraine 😌

“CZ on the rocks, leave the bottle.”
“But Jack, it’s not even noon!”
“When you sleep as little as me it’s always after 5.”

I’ve become the cliche Kids Bop version of a noir detective. When life gets tough instead of reaching for the bottle of booze I reach for a cold glass of Coke Zero

I find it bleak that ChatGPT now has more users than Wikipedia. Many people would rather be spoon-fed information by a machine than read and research for themselves. Tech isn't just making us dumber. Worse than that: it's killing curiosity itself and the desire to learn.

Sorry baby, no thanksgiving this year. Daddy had to spend $50 on toothpaste and body wash since his skin and teeth are so sensitive 🥺🥺

Hahahah that’s honestly really funny and sweet. I work with a few Acadian folks, I need to use like all my brain power to understand them but they’re swell

Between his depiction of Renfield in Dracula and Fritz in Frankenstein, Dwight Frye has quickly become my favorite pre-code Hollywood "strange little freak" actor.

October 9, 1959: Twilight Zone's "One for the Angels" airs. A kind-hearted sidewalk pitchman (Ed Wynn) battles Mr. Death (Murray Hamilton, 16 years before he was Amity's mayor in "Jaws") to save a little girl's life.

A sweet tale with a nice touch of humor. 🥲

Duuuuuuude the silliness of the sanitarium staff was so fun. If you like that kind of goofy vibe it's even more present in Dracula's Daughter 👀 And the movie takes place right after the original ends so it makes a great double feature!
