Kansan tinkering with prairie restoration. Cheer for a surprisingly large number of mostly bad teams for distraction.
As someone who has never had short-haired dogs until our current pair, it's odd to me to have dogs who don't like the cold. My previous dogs would zoom around in weather like this. These guys look at me like I'm insane when I try to get them to go outside.

The only type of weather I really dislike is strong wind. Probably makes living on Kansas an odd choice.

Setting aside the question of how dusty my house is, I thought this was surprisingly pretty.

Seeded some sweet black-eyed Susan at the boat ramp. Meant do this a few weeks ago, but forgot I had these which I bought commercially. #nativeplants

Seeding sweet Joe Pye weed in small riparian woodland restoration. Seeds from my yard. In addition to tossing seeds by hand, I like to stick a few of the seed heads in trees to kinda mimic how they might naturally disperse. #nativeplants

Did some seeding today in a small riparian woodland where I've been clearing away bush honeysuckle and winter creeper. These are redbud seeds mostly from the tree in my yard. #nativeplants

Always a sucker for running water. Melting snow has renewed this little stream which had run dry in the drought.
