As a freelancer, what is the best way to reach out to art directors? What kinds of things do you include in an email, what do they wanna see, how do you stand out.... any advice like that?

I've been feeling very stagnant and stale with my art style lately so I'm exploring different styles and textures. Anyone have tips for how to add texture to your art, with brushes or as overlays?

Slowly getting back into my groove physically and mentally, depression is a cold beast but we're back in business now babyyyy >:)
