Looking forward to continued collaboration 🤝
💡 This discussion focused on 👇

🔸 Preliminary results of the #ChemSkillsEU project
🔹 Ensuring the long-term #sustainability of this initiative while keeping its outcomes impactful
🔸 EU initiatives supporting partnerships in #education and #training, i.e. #PactforSkills, #EUSkillsAlliances, #CoVEs
This morning, ECEG had an insightful exchange with the Cabinet of Executive Vice-President @roxanaminzatu.bsky.social on advancing skills development for the chemical industry 🧪
These initiatives demonstrate how voluntary action, rigorous enforcement and social dialogue can be more effective and faster than new legislation, and we therefore encourage the Commission to focus on this 🤝
2️⃣ Formaldehyde Value Chain Alliance
A successful initiative and partnership between ECEG, Formacare, industriAll Europe and ETUC, which proactively promoted the reduction of occupational exposure limits for formaldehyde from 2 ppm to 0.3 ppm, protecting more than 30.000 workers in Europe.
📌 Two successful voluntary initiatives highlighted as examples of the sector’s commitment are:

1️⃣ The Responsible Care and the European Responsible Care® Awards – supporting companies and associations to continuously improve health, safety, and environmental performance
🔸 Improving the quality of jobs by strengthening the enforcement of existing frameworks and supporting industry-led initiatives
