yesterday a bunch of fire alarms went off at the shelter and we were stuck outside in the cold until like 10pm
then we finally got back inside and apparently the alarms were still going off but only in the bedrooms.
i had to wait another couple hours for them to get the alarms to stay off

The failure of the first fundraiser, and the failure of the people I relied on, has wound me up in a homeless shelter.
The shelter has access to resources and programs and benefits and jobs, we have a good chance at finding a stable situation this month.
Buuut we can't be sure of anything anymore.
