People that didn't have a problem don't like feeling invalidated for enjoying something. "If you say it's bad, I'm bad for liking it".

Personally, I didn't have much of an issue, but I'm weird.

I love getting letters in the mail saying my doc of over a decade with chronic health problems isn't covered anymore only to contact said doctor and them to be like "...ummm, no?"

Ultimately, things are still subjective. Just because you are correct about an issue doesn't mean I enjoyed the game less. Criticism is important for the game manufacturers, not really for the consumer in this situation.

Beyond the whole "our brains focus more on the negative than the positive" nitpicking makes it easier to have a long, extensive list of faults whole discussing positives in the same way comes off as gushing (bad).
