Where I live, there aren't that many brightly colored subjects. But when they appear, it's a welcome opportunity to shoot Ektachrome.

There are certain ads the Facebook algorithm assigns me because of demographics (which are seriously misleading in my case). This one, for example ... I commented, "Just the thing for setting fire to mosques, synagogues, temples, and witches, right?" I hope they recognize contempt when they see it.

Today the Society for Technical Communication, a professional organization for technical writers, filed Chapter 7 (absolute) bankruptcy. I had been a member for 28 years.
This is a sad day.
Last October I dutifully paid my STC dues, so I'm a senior member in good standing ... of what, I don't know.

I expect that behavior will come here soon, unfortunately. As soon as I signed up, I had to block and remove accounts from my list because they were posting AI images that had little or nothing to do with the stated subject, solely for the purpose of harvesting likes. That drives the rat race too.
