It ain’t that easy as Umbriel isn’t a person, but rather an incarnation of an emotion, a state of the mind that appears different in everyone.

Eclipse isn’t evil by nature and doesn’t understand it, which causes him to just grow anxious of what he is capable of doing when he’s not himself
