A joy to see Mikey & Nicky last night at @metrographnyc.bsky.social —as ample as OUATIAmerica—and to hear Elaine May relate its personal backstory, making clear why the film is overflowing with memory, emotion, and inner pressure, since she wrote the story in the '50s and lived it as a child.
