I have been building Queensland Progressives for close to five years. We have the structure, the policies, and almost enough people. What we need in the last step before registering is a state secretary to guide the party as we set up for the long haul.

There is one uncomfortable truth that undoes the zionist lie that Judaism is inextricably linked with Israel.

If it was as they say, then Josh Burns, Julian Leeser, Dave Sharma, and all the other Jews that are and were in Parliament would be ineligible under Section 44.

Progressives have three strongest policy suite on whistleblower protections, but we can't do anything if we're not reregistered

This is an example of actual anti semitism. It's subtle, and many will confuse it with real pro-palestinian content, but make no mistake they do not belong with us.

Always be wary of fascists like this trying to co-opt the movement.

Australian Progressives have three candidates running this election, in the Fusion Party collective.

All three are women.
Two are Indigenous.
Two are neurodiverse
One is LGBTQIA+
All three are lived experience advocates for Family, Domestic, and Sexual Violence

Let's talk donations and the loopholes used by parties to hide who's paying them. There's been progress on disclosures and the reporting threshold federally, but many states have lax rules on donations. This is an issue because it allows parties to "wash" money through states with poor reporting.

LNP candidate for Brisbane Trevor Evans has announced election funding for a local bowls club. You know what that means...

Sports Rorts is back baby! Let's collate any other funding promises from the conservaturds and see what comes of it.

Perhaps if Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner came down from his ivory tower and actually saw what it was like for people experiencing homelessness in Brisbane, he wouldn't come out with such incredibly awful and inhumane policies.

Still devastated by the age’s decision. Their defence that they can’t be seen to choose sides in an election is specious. I can think of a dozen things a political party could try to say in an ad that they wouldn’t hesitate to bin. They made the decision that what this ad said was fine.

There is no anti-semitism in Australian unis. Plenty of anti-zionist activism, as there rightfully should be.

Anti-semitism comes from neo-nazis and far right. They're not smart enough for uni, but they do spend plenty of time supporting Sarah Henderson's party and colleagues.

Dutton's nuclear plan? Oh you mean his plan for yellow coal.

Yeah, yellow coal. I mean it's a resource dug from the ground and used to heat water to make energy... and the real reason Dutton's pushing nuclear is for a trojan horse to keep coal around longer. So it's yellow coal!

Months of @sarahschwartz.bsky.social making this point, followed by a week of rightwing media proving her point, culminate in this perfect distillation of how hollow Dutton's "anti-antisemitism" crusade is

Bravo to Sarah for calling it out, at great personal cost

The people attacking Sarah Schwartz for pointing out the inherent racism in zionism are the same people defending Elon Musk and his fascist salute. That tells you all you need to know about them.

To those Indigenous Australians that support the zionist lobby like Marcia Langdon and Nova Peris: don't you think the Israeli myth "a land without a people for a people without a land" sounds a little too close to Terra Nullius?

How do you not see it...

I've found many of my favourite people on here, but still many more I'd love to connect with!

If you have an interest in Australian politics, progressive policy, ending male violence and toxic masculinity, opposing genocide, and ending the duopoly then let's be friends.
January 14, 2025 at 11:31 PM
Keeping people in poverty is a political choice.

Supporting a genocide is a political choice.

Approving more coal and gas is a political choice.

Silence while over 100 women die to male violence is a political choice.

If you want to change the politics, we need to change the politicians.
