Lost fish aggregating devices threaten the Galápagos Marine Reserve, where drifting plastic can damage reefs and entangle wildlife.

In Ecuador, agencies are working to keep FADs out — and remove those that slip in.

This move to police in black uniforms that started with border force really spooks me.
Aust Customs at international airports once wore khaki uniforms with a smile then it shifted to black with rifles & a frown - the joy of being home again was lost - optics of 1 are horrible
2 - makes me feel sick

They are also going down the human shield but please don’t call it a human sheild path.

I tend to overpopulation the sowing of pumpkins just for the want of flowers but I do have plenty of space.
For bees this stuff is good when put down in clusters - bees plus the hover flies (which are my favourites) & even some birds do seem to like the mix - worth the little bit of extra watering.

So, time to rename the Indian Ocean to the American ocean?
Seems to be so much trouble at home that they cannot control that they now need to move into the opposite side of the world.

Nearly half of shark and ray species in the Western Indian Ocean are threatened.

Researchers mapped 125 critical habitats — yet only 7.1% fall within marine protected areas, and just 1.2% are fully protected. Fishing pressure remains the biggest threat.

Always smile at his take on our critters - deep vision on how cheeky they are by someone equally so.
We need to cherish the ratbag and can’t help but feel without him about the tank is looking a tad low. 🙁

I do like this - the old slow link roads had limited traffic and sometimes so bad that you just could not speed but in time you got to the destination.
The trains in India just function so they became the simplest method to get around - seems still the case. youtu.be/OgNt4Fu1_SE

Mongrel stuff made worse by it can make you feel bloody crook if you are unaware that you are allergic to it.
Only thing that roundup is good for & even then the dust from the dead stuff can be nasty.
So yes amazing that it is not deemed noxious in oz.

Indeed.
Honestly thought that this decision would need to go to a voice type referendum - which would allow the lobbyists to step up and tell us if this was a good or bad thing….

Dunno but a block transfer of most of these sites and moving them to the care of the First Nations peoples world seems to be appropriate.
We can get a better spread of more public spaces and parks by simply shutting down golf courses

Bee droving? Nope - Leave that to you fellas.
Singing
And when my bees turn on me I was knocked back flat
I was knocked out cold for one clack of the train track
And then I rose a colossal hand
Buried in sand
I rose like a drover
For lam, in the end, a drover
