My post was questioning the path of such a bullet. If the ICE guy smashes the driver side window and shoots DOWN at the occupant, how does the bullet go UP to a Marshall on the opposite side of the car? I can't quite believe that. Much like I can't quite believe the magic Kennedy bullet path.

Trump proclaims that he is a king and can spend money how he wants regardless of what anyone in Congress might wish to say about it. I would like to have my share of such a "distribution" but I want it to be due to a law passed by Congress, not by Trump choosing who gets paid and who doesn't.

This is another thing that Senate Democrats should stand firm on. No bailouts for soybean farmers. Let them sell the beans to nations that are now very hungry due to USAID vanishing. See what those beans are really worth on the open market.

How about let's not bail out the farmers this time. Most of them voted for Trump. I say let them reap what they have sown. Besides, there is no budget. And too much spending versus too little revenue. Congress should not appropriate money to bail out farmers given the current budget.

Given a suspect sitting in a car, smashing in a window with a pistol, I can't quite picture how the suspect could be "gravely injured" and "another law enforcement officer" could be in the same line of fire. Multiple discharges anyone?

Needless to say, if you used the wrong kind of device at the junction between glass and copper, the signal would not go through. There are many different types of copper and glass wire (fiber). The powered device needs to convert between the proper types according to the overall system design.

To hook copper wire signals into glass wire signals you need a powered device at the junction point. As a computer guy, we did it a lot with 10 gigabit ethernet signals. Copper will not carry those very far. But glass will carry the signal many miles before it needs a signal repeater.

The First Amendment right of free association, combined with the lack of any federal funding, should allow the schools to continue to do what they do. At least, IMHO. It is like a private golf club that refuses to admit women or blacks or whomever.
