It's monthly round-up time. Special mention goes to @benriggs.bsky.social excellent book: Slaying the Dragon which I devoured in about 2 days while working full time.

Also: Audible is messing with authors, I have links to @danielgreene.bsky.social's youtube videos for more on that.

This week, It's time for a review of John Langan's new book, Lost in the Dark and other Excursions! It's wild! It's experimental! I think everyone will find something to love. But, I don't know that the book as a whole will be a favorite of more than a select few.

Note: I received a eARC of this book for free.

@increment.bsky.social are there any plans to make more of your books audiobooks? I'd love to read the elusive shift, but I don't have as much time for physical books as I'd like.

A grisly grinning visage. A creature crawling from the darkness at the end of the hallway. A man in glasses grinning a bit too widely.

I'm back! I have defeated Covid and returned with a review of @aptshadow.bsky.social 's Cage of Souls! TLDR, it has fantastic prose, a fantastic cover, a fantastic voice actor, and is generally fantastic.

Note: I loved this book, but I also listened to the audio version.

@aptshadow.bsky.social. I'm currently listening to Saturation Point, and I wanted to ask if you had any books or resources on ecology, insects, and so on that you would recommend?

Time for another monthly roundup. The highlights?
@tkingfisher.com's Paladin's Grace is an excellent romantic popcorn read, and @aptshadow.bsky.social's novellas, Walking to Aldebaran and Ironclads are both really good. Go read them.

@hankgreen.bsky.social I have a question for you since Physics isnt really my thing, biology is:
If Time is affected by gravity, does that mean it isn't moving "evenly"? Like, we talk about the big bang, but the big bang happened creating space and mass right? What does that mean for time?

Secondly I wanted to know if there were any more books planned for this series and if your relationship with Broken Binding would continue? I'm a huge fan of both, and I desperately want to see more of your books released in these beautiful editions!

@tkingfisher.com I just started your Saint of Steel Series. Firstly, I want to say that I'm blown away by your range. The first I read of yours was Sworn Soldier followed by The House With Good Bones. Now I'm reading romantic fantasy, and I love it!
