Downside is, the cooling on Airs isn't near as good as the Pros. I don't know how that will affect my workflow yet as I haven't had time to work on anything much, but fingers crossed it should be okay for Photoshop at least. Blender may have to wait, but I only use Blender for references anyway.

Okay so! I got an Air because my plan is to still purchase a Studio in the hopefully near future (even though having to buy a new laptop for browsing kinda threw a wrench in those funds.) Regardless this thing should still be more powerful than what I was working off of before, so yay!

I have a new (working) laptop, season one SpongeBob, hot tea, a sandalwood candle, and my car (not pictured) is fixed and returned! The hell of September is finally over and it’s a beautiful transition into the spooky month 🤍

QRP with your art before covid vs now

Left: shows an early drawing of Zhaikes, where I struggled to "correctly" draw his facial shapes (2018)

Right: also Zhaikes, but much closer to what I see in my mind (2025)

Pencil sketch of my OC Zhaikes. It shows an alien man with antennae and reptilian features. While the sketch itself isn't necessarily bad or wrong, it was a mismatch between my mental picture of Zhaikes and what I was able to draw at that time. E.g., his chin tips are too short, the Antennae too thick, the horns did not align well with his head.

Digital art of my OC Zhaikes with a similar grumpy expression as in the previous work, but his facial features here align much better with my mental image. His chin tips are longer, the antennae thinner, the horns more shapely. All in all his facial planes are better defined too.

Apple said “$700 to fix this 5 year old laptop that only has a $300 trade in value” so I guess it’s time to upgrade.😓 My dad’s been feeling generous lately so if he’s willing to help out I might just upgrade to a Mac Studio.

But my life is currently sitting on an SSD, so everything is on hold.

About half the keys on my laptop are no longer responding… I scrubbed them with isopropyl alcohol and tears last night but apparently it’s an issue with my year of MacBook and they JUST ended the program dedicated to fixing it last year 🥲

The reveal of Nezarec’s design in game was one of the biggest factors that led to me stepping away from Destiny art. I do love this though and might complete it despite it all ❤️

An art piece for a Destiny 2 zine I participated in. Named "All That Glitters is Gold." Theme was creating character(s) and design outfits based on Exotic rarity weapons. Exotic weapon Zen Meteor was the main inspiration, mixed with "Killer Queen" song by Queen as the song is referenced in the weapon itself with its abilities "Dynamite" and "With a Laser Beam." Character is feminine, black, dressed in royal attire with warm tones mimicking the metals of the gun she's based on. She has floor-length hair, which is made of flames. She's holding opera glasses, designed to mimic the scope of the gun she's based on, as it's a sniper rifle. She's decorated in gold jewelry, nails, with a bright green gem in her necklace, as well as her green eyes to represent the light that the weapon has indicating it being loaded. She references all 3 classes from the Destiny franchise: her gold sash and chain mail represent the Titan class, her golden armbands represent the Warlock class, and her long ash cloak represent the Hunter class. This piece was completed in March 2023

Art of my Destiny OC, Russell. Was part of an old Goretober art challenge where the daily theme of this art was "glitch." Russell is holding a piece of Vex tech in his hand as his entire body is glitching out. He is adorned in purple and gold armor. His left leg is entirely replaced with that of the Vex. Signature in bottom right is different due to going by different screen name at the time. Drawn October 2018
